FLINT, Michigan — After finding out his friend didn’t want to hang out anymore that night, a 31-year-old man allegedly beat the friend with a broken shovel handle, putting the 34-year-old victim in the hospital.

The altercation began when the suspect and victim were walking back from the store to the victim’s home, located near Martin Luther King Avenue and Taylor Street, around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports.

The victim told the suspect he was going to a female’s house, and the suspect reportedly became angry because he wanted to hang out with the victim, according to the report.

When the men got to the victim’s home, the suspect grabbed the handle of a broken shovel and allegedly beat his friend in the head, according to the report. The victim suffered a large bump and laceration on the top of his head and cuts on his forearms and was taken to Hurley Medical Center.

I guess its best to tell your homey that you don’t want to hang out over the phone!!! lol
